The Department of Computer Science started its journey in Raja Rammohun Roy Mahavidyalaya from 2001. The department started with the B.Sc. General course in 2001. From 2023, the department started B.Sc. 3 Year Major Course in Computer Science. Presently the department is running with one Assitant Professor and one State Aided College Teacher. 40 seats for 3 Year major Course have been sanctioned from the affiliating University. The department has a well-maintained software laboratory and also has a hardware laboratory for three year Major and Minor students. Last but not the least, teaching and learning are issues which are given the topmost priority amongst all.
